Langhe: inhabiting the landscape

Building in a UNESCO site requires a precise grammar. A few rules we set ourselves.

In the Langhe the view is a common good: every new volume must be negotiated with the ridge, not only with building regulations.

We prefer buried extensions, simple roofs, colours taken from the soil. Large windows are justified only if they frame something.

The relationship with heritage authorities is built early: we bring the project to the table while it can still change.
